IEEE Draft Standard for Services Provided by the Energy-Efficient Orchestration and Management of Virtualized Distributed Data Centers Interconnected by a Virtualized Network
Abstract
This 1 standard specifies a methodological framework for providing computational resources and the network that interconnects them in an energy efficient way. The framework utilizes virtualization to allow multiple secondary operators share and slice the resources of a physical infrastructure owned by a larger operator known as the infrastructure provider (InP). The purpose of this standard is to assess and improve the energy efficiency of joint network and data center virtualization.Scope
This standard specifies an architecture for a service composed of distributed data centers interconnected by a network. It specifies the interfaces and the dynamic orchestration and management mechanisms for energy-efficient allocation of resources from data centers and network.
Purpose
This standard provides an energy efficient networked data center service through joint network and data center virtualization.
