Abstract

This standard was developed to provide a common digital methodology to access or exchange operational data aboard oceanographic research vessels. Members of the Technical Committee on Oceanic Engineering and Technology include manufacturers of interface devices and users. The standard was first presented for discussion in draft form in the Exposure Newsletter, September 1981.<>
