Sustaining quality of services through service reliability and availability

In the current IT landscape, key challenges are to "un the business", "Outperform competition" & to expand the customer base to "Grow the business". This mandates an organization to constantly diversify the existing services provided and add new offerings. During such transformation initiatives, it is also imperative to ensure services are available 24/7 without interruption. This paper discusses the current trend and challenges faced by IT organization of an advanced TV service provider during major service rollouts and how service availability and reliability enabled streamlined business and IT operations. The main objective of the paper is to present the case study for sustaining quality of service and defining the framework for reporting service reliability and availability. As a result of the study, observations on areas of service validation and operations are presented.
