The autotransformer and other equipment (for railway power supply)
The author describes the two types of equipment for 2*25 kV railway traction power supply installations: equipment specific to this alternative which is confined to substation transformers (high voltage or very high voltage/2*25 kV) and autotransformers for traction stations (50/25 kV); and, the remainder of equipment which is identical to that used in conventional single-phase 25 kV electrification systems except that for the power cut-out components (circuit breakers, load switches, isolator switches), the cut-out poles are duplicated (one feeder pole-one OHL pole) and activated simultaneously by a single control drive.<>
