Decentralized UAV Hangar: A Study for Water Rescue Missions

In recent years, the number of natural disasters such as forest fires and the resulting economic damage and number of victims has increased worldwide. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) can react quickly and autonomously in such search and rescue situations or can also be used for the continuous surveillance of endangered areas. For this purpose, the UAV must be placed in the endangered areas using a UAV hangar and the -missions'- flights must be carried out autonomously and self-sufficiently. In this study, we present an intelligent UAV hangar that is based on an overview of a market research and a requirement analysis, applied on the use case of water rescue missions.
