Biography
Hasan T Abbas (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree (with Hons.) in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2017. From 2009 to 2012, he was a Junior Lecturer with the Department of Electrical Engineering, KSK campus, UET Lahore. From April 2018 to June 2019, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Texas A&M University at Qatar, Doha, Qatar. Since June 2019, he has been a Lecturer with the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, U.K. His research interests include plasmonics, terahertz sensing, and developing numerical methods in electromagnetics. He was the recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship.
