Biography

Majed Alowaidi (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree (Hons.) from the Riyadh College of Technology, in 2006, and the M.A.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the University of Ottawa, in 2012 and 2018, respectively. Since 2012, he has been a member of MCRLAB, University of Ottawa, Canada. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor and the Head of the IT Department, College of Computer and Information Science, Majmaah University, Al Majma’ah, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include cybersecurity, the IoT, semantic web, cloud and edge computing, and smart city.
