Biography

Mohammed Hayder Al-Mansoori received the B.Sc. degree (with first class honors) in electronic and communications engineering from Al-Mosul University, Al-Mosul, Iraq, in 1998, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Malaysia, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. In 1999, he was an Instructor at the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, IBB University. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Multimedia University. He is currently an Associate Professor and the head of unit research and consultancy in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, College of Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. His current research interests include optical fiber communications, fiber lasers, fiber sensors, and EPONs. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 research papers in journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Al-Mansoori is a member of the IEEE and Optical Society of America (OSA).
