Biography
Mr. Alan Quan is an Engineering Specialist in the Information Technology Department (ITD) at the Aerospace Corporation and the project lead for ATRIA. Mr. Quan previously worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff in the Flight Software Development and Technology Group, where he developed software for the spacecraft Virtual Machine Language project. Prior to that, he was Director of Special Applications at High Tower Software, where he was a key developer of the TowerView data visualization product. Previously he had developed expert systems and agent-based applications for spacecraft analysis at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and at Rockwell International Space Division. His research interests include agent-based systems for distributed problem solving and symbolic knowledge representation. Mr. Quan has a BA from Stanford University and an MS in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge.
