Biography

Dr. Sally Hayati is the Director of ITD. The department conducts applied research, prototype development, technology assessment, consultation, and technical assistance on multiple satellite programs. Prior to joining ITD, she was the technical lead and manager of the Aerospace consultancy contract with the Thuraya commercial satellite program. She played a similar role on the ICO program before that. Her research interests include knowledge-based systems and Semantic Web technologies. Dr. Hayati has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and B. Sc. and M.S. degrees from U.C. Berkeley.
