Biography
Niti Nipun Sharma received the B. E. degree in mechanical engineering from Regional Engineering College, Srinagar, India, in 1990, and the M.E. degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph. D. degree both from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India, in 1998 and 2004, respectively.
He is currently an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at BITS. His current research interests include understanding physics of propulsion of nanorobots, nanomaterial reinforcement of metals, microfluidics for lab-on-chip devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) actuators and sensors, flow in nanochannels, brownian motion in nanodomains. He is also currently the Dean of Academic Registration and Counseling Division and the Coordinator, Nanomaterials and National MEMS Design Center (NNMDC) at BITS.
Dr. Sharma is an Associate Editor of the International Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems.
