Biography
Absalom El-Shamir Ezugwu (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics (computer science) and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the School of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. He has published articles relevant to his research interest in internationally refereed journals and edited books, conference proceedings, and local journals. His main research interests include parallel algorithms design in cloud and grid computing environments, artificial intelligence with a specific interest in computational intelligence, and metaheuristic solutions to real-world global optimization problems. He is a member of IAENG and ORSSA.
