Biography

William R. Freeman is currently an Distinguished Professor of ophthalmology, the Director with the UCSD Jacobs Retina Center and the Vice Chair of the UCSD Department of Ophthalmology. He is a full time Retina Surgeon and also a Researcher who has held NIH grants for nearly 30 years. He works closely with imaging groups with the Department of Ophthalmology, UCSD School of Engineering. He has over 600 peer-reviewed publications.
