Biography

Amir F. Atiya (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Cairo University, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Caltech, Pasadena, CA, USA. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Computer Engineering, Cairo University. His research interests include machine learning, theory of forecasting, computational finance, and dynamic pricing. He obtained several awards, such as the Kuwait Prize, in 2005, and the Egyptian State Appreciation Award, in 2018. He is a Handling Editor of International Journal of Forecasting.
