Biography
Ibrahim Ahmad (M'03) received the B. S. and M. Sc. degrees in nuclear physics and material science from the University of Kebangsaan Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia, in 1980 and 1991, respectively, and the M. Sc. degree in analytical physics from the University of Wales, Swansea, U.K., in 1992.
From 1982 to 1992, he was with the Malaysian Institute for Nuclear Technology Research Center as a Nuclear Science Officer. From 1992 to 1996, he was with Malaysian Institute for Microelectronic Research Center as an Integrated Circuit (CMOS) Researcher and Process Engineer. In 1997, he joined the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Systems Engineering Faculty, University Kebangsaan Malaysia, as a Lecturer. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2002. He is currently one of the leaders in a national project, the development of advanced power packaging for semiconductor packaging. He has published more than 20 technical papers in international and national journals and more than 30 papers in international and national conferences.
