Biography

Talari Ganesh received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in statistics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mathematics and Scientific Computing, National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. He had worked as an Assistant Professor with the Seshadripuram Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore, and also joined as a Guest Faculty at the Department of Statistics, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, from September 2014 to August 2015. He was a Lecturer at the Dr. Jyothirmayi Degree College, from 2009 to 2010. His main research interests are in the areas of multi-criterion decision aid, operations research, statistics and big data science. He has worked on stochastic modeling, time series analysis, and forecasting by applying to the gold mineralization and rainfall data using SPSS and R tool respectively. He also worked in analytical hierarchy process and goal programming in dealing with multi criterion decision aid. Also, he has published various papers in the field of distribution theory, convolution and mixture distribution. He is currently working on classification techniques, data mining and its applications to the wide varieties of high-volume data which comes under big data analytics and data science. His current research is focused on multi-choice stochastic transportation problem involving fuzzy programming and evolutionary algorithms. He has published more than 12 articles in reputed international and national journals and presented more than ten papers in various international and national conferences.
