Biography
Yonghuai Liu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the first Ph.D. degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in 1997, and the second Ph.D. degree from the University of Hull, U.K., in 2001.
He has been a Professor and the Director of the Intelligent Visual Computing Research Centre, Edge Hill University, since 2018. His primary research interests lie in 3-D computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems. He is a fellow of the British Computer Society and the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom. He is an area editor/an associate editor and an editorial board member of a number of international journals and conference proceedings.
