Biography

Emiliano Aldabas (S'97–A'99–M'04) was born in Teruel, Spain, in 1964. He received the M.Eng. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Terrassa, Spain, in 1992 and 2002, respectively.
In 1993, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, UPC, as an Assistant Professor, where he was a Lecturer from 1998 to 2007. Since 2008, he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, UPC, Barcelona, Spain. He is currently a Member of the Electrical Engineering Research Group, UPCÈs Terrassa Campus, and EduQTech Group. His research interests include power electronics, modulation, current controllers, adjustable-speed drives, and high-performance drive systems, particularly, hysteresis current controllers for power inverters, on which topic he has authored several technical papers.
Dr. Aldabas is a member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics, IEEE Power Electronics, and IEEE Education Societies.
