Biography

Richard A. Layton received the B.S. degree in engineering from California State University, Northridge, CA, USA, in 1991, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
He is a Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering with the Rose–Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, IN, USA, and continues to provide data visualization consulting services in engineering education research with Layton Data Display, Terre Haute.
