Biography

Aiping Huang (SM’08) graduated from the Nanjing Institute of Post and Telecommunications, Nanjing, China, in 1977, and received the M.S. degree from the Nanjing Institute of Technology, Southeast University, Nanjing, in 1982, and the Licentiate of Technology degree from the Helsinki University of Technology (HUT), Espoo, Finland, in 1997. From 1977 to 1980, she was an Engineer with the Design and Research Institute of Post and Telecommunications Ministry, China. From 1982 to 1994, she was initially an Assistant Professor and then an Associate Professor with Zhejiang University (ZJU), Hangzhou, China. From 1994 to 1998, she was a Visiting Scholar and a Research Scientist with HUT (Aalto University). Since 1998, she has been a Full Professor with ZJU. She is also with the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Information Processing and Communication Networks, Hangzhou, and SUTD-ZJU IDEA, Hangzhou.
She has published one book and over 210 papers in refereed journals and conferences on communications and networks, and signal processing. Her current research interests include heterogeneous networks, performance analysis and cross-layer design, and planning and optimization of cellular mobile communication networks.
Dr. Huang served as the Vice Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Nanjing Chapter.
