Biography
Bill Abbey is a Member of the Technical Staff with JPL's Planetary Chemistry and Astrobiology Group. He assists in a wide variety of NASA efforts under the MFRP, ASTEP, ASTID & NAI programs, and currently provides technical support to the Surface Sampling System scientists on MSL. A field geologist by training, he also has provided logistical planning and on-site geologic expertise for investigations in the U.S., Chile and Arctic Circle. He holds a B. S. and M. S. in Geology from George Washington University.
