Biography

Furkan Ahmad received the Bachelor of Technology, the Master of Technology, and the Doctor of Philosophy degrees in electrical engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 2012, 2015, and 2019, respectively.
He is working as a Researcher with the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), Qatar Foundation, Doha, Qatar. Upon receiving the doctorate from AMU, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He has authored/co-authored more than 95 research articles. His research interests include microgrids, electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, grid integration, energy management systems, etc. He was awarded the CSIR Junior and Senior Research Fellowship Award, from 2016 to 2019. He is an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Energy Research, International Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems, and Frontiers in Future Transportation.
