Biography
Carlos Alberola-López received Ingeniero de Telecomunicación and PhD degrees from Politechnical University of Madrid (Spain), in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He is a professor at the ETSI Telecomunicación of the University of Valladolid, Spain. In 1997, he was a visiting scientist at Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College, New Hampshire. His research interests are statistical and fuzzy methods for signal and image processing applications. He is head of the Laboratory of Image Processing (LPI) at the University of Valladolid. He is reviewer of several scientific journals and he is consultant of the Spanish Government for the evaluation of research proposals.
