Biography

David M. Adams received the B. Sc. degree in physics from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 1988, and the M. Sc. degree in engineering physics from McMaster University, Canada, in 1993.
In 1993, he joined the Device Physics Group at the Advanced Technology Laboratory, Nortel Networks, Ottawa, ON, Canada, where he was involved in the modeling and characterization of distributed feedback lasers and semiconductor optical amplifiers. Since 1993, he has worked on gain-coupled distributed feedback lasers and optoelectronic integration in the Advanced Laser Design Group at Nortel Networks. He also is a Sessional Lecturer at Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada.
