Biography

Sharief Abdel-Razeq (Member, IEEE) was born in Amman, Jordan, in 1985. He received the B.Sc. degree in communications and software engineering from Al-Balqa’ Applied University, Jordan, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering/wireless communications from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering/wireless communications from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA, in 2018. He has been with the Telecommunications Engineering Department, Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan, where he is currently an Associate Professor. Furthermore, he has been working as the Department’s Head since 2019. He was chosen as one of five talented students from Jordan to participate in the “Intel Engineering Excellence Program” held in Egypt in 2008. He is currently an IEEE Jordan Joint ComSoc/SPS Chapter Treasurer and an IEEE ComSoc Advisor with Yarmouk University. His research interests include non-orthogonal multiple access, wireless communications of the 5G and beyond 5G networks, and the Internet of Things.
