Biography

Marco Albertini got a master's degree in electrical engineering in 1990 and a PhD in electrical engineering in 1994 from the University of Genova. After one year as a postdoc at the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse (France), working in electrical insulating polymers research, he joined Pirelli Cavi (presently Prysmian) in 1996 as a researcher for HV materials. He then moved in 1999 to the electrical laboratory, where he was in charge of the MV electrical tests and R&D tests. At present he is responsible for the electrical and mechanical laboratories for land and submarine systems in Prysmian Milan. His activities are mainly focused on HVDC and HVAC cable systems.
