Biography
Adamu Abubakar received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in geography, the P.G.D. degree in computer science from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from IIUM. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Prior to his completion of M.Sc. degree program, from 2005 to 2007, he has worked in various area of information technology. During his Ph.D. degree, he worked on many research projects. He received many awards research. He had published many papers in conferences, journals, and book chapters during his Ph.D. degree, postdoctoral studies, and at the current position of an Assistant Professor. He has been a Professional Member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), since 2014. He is working in the areas of computer network, 3D mobile map, information retrieval technologies, digital watermarking, steganography, artificial neural network, and wireless sensor network.
