Biography
Michele Belmonte received the “Laurea” degree in nuclear engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He is currently working with Oclaro, Inc., on LiNbO3 modulators and is in charge of high bit rate modulator development. Prior to Oclaro, he worked for Avanex Corporation, Corning, Inc., Pirelli Cables and Systems. His research interests include lithium niobate modulators, fiber Bragg gratings, periodic periodical domain inversion of LiNbO3 for frequency conversion, and time resolved spectroscopy.
