Biography

Josef Börcsök (Member, IEEE) is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Computer Architecture and System programming, University of Kassel, Kassel, Germany. He has authored or coauthored more than 200 publications in the refereed international journals and has written 12 books. His research interests include modeling of safety-related computer technology, safety systems on chip technology, sensor, and distributed sensor systems, IoT-Systems, and safety-related communication and protocols He worked on several national and international standardization committees. He is a Member of DKE committees, IET, and BCS, and one of the first Safety Experts of the TÜV-FSE-program.
