Biography
Safaai Deris received the ME degree in industrial engineering and the
doctor of engineering degree in computer and system sciences, both from Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, in 1989
and 1997, respectively. He is a professor of artificial intelligence and software engineering in the Faculty of
Creative Technology & Heritage, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. He is also a reviewer for several refereed journals.
His recent academic interests include the application of intelligent techniques in scheduling and bioinformatics.
