Biography

Wan Salwina Wan Ismail received the M.B.B.S. degree from The University of Adelaide, South Australia, in 1995, and the M.Med. degree in psychiatry and the Advanced master’s degree in child and adolescent psychiatry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in 2006 and 2007, respectively. She is currently an Associate Professor and a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, UKM. She has written a few chapters in several books and published more than 43 journal articles. Her research interests include ASD, pediatric OCD, and the mental well-being of children and adolescents in general. She received an award certificate for highly cited research in Asian Journal of Psychiatry, in 2016, and a Transdisciplinary Research Grant Scheme (TRGS) Certificate of Excellence, in 2020.
