Biography
Ramzy S. Ali (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and control and computers engineering from the University of Basrah, Basrah, Iraq, in 1985 and 1989, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in control and systems from the Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University, Russia, in 2003.
He is currently an Assistant Professor with the University of Basrah. His teaching interests include intelligent control systems, robust control systems, microprocessor and microcontrollers, and industrial automation. His research interests include intelligent control of robotics, computational intelligence, computational methods and optimization, chaos and nonlinear dynamics, renewable electrical energy systems, and PLC applications in industrial and engineering education. He currently serves as a Co-Editor of the Basrah Journal for Engineering Sciences.
