Biography
Walter Featherstone received his Ph.D. in electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Leeds in 2000. He has over 20 years' experience in the mobile telecommunications industry during which standardization and research have been a central theme. He joined Samsung Research Institute UK in 2019. Prior to Samsung, he worked for Motorola Mobility during Google's ownership, Nokia Networks, and Motorola Solutions. He is an active participant in both 3GPP SA6 and ETSI MEC ISG, where he holds the position of ISG vice chair. He is a chartered member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
