Biography

Ayman A. Abdel-Hamid (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer science from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, USA. He is currently a Professor of computer science with the College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT), Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Alexandria, Egypt. Since May 2021, he has been the CCIT’s Dean. His research interests and numerous scholarly publications span a wide range of areas, including computer and network security, computer networking, distributed systems, mobile computing, network-layer mobility support, and cloud computing. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and ACM. He regularly serves as a technical program committee for a number of internationally reputed computing conferences and as a reviewer for a number of notable scholarly journals.
