Biography

Ahmed A. Aboushady (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and control engineering from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt, in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in power electronics from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K., in 2013.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer in power electronic systems with Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow, U.K. He has several publications in refereed journals/conferences as well as a published textbook, a book chapter contribution, and a PCT patent no. PCT/GB2017/051364. His research interests are dc/dc converters, high-voltage dc transmission systems, grid integration of renewable energy, and distributed generation systems.
