Biography

Daniela M. Romano received the PhD degree in computer-based learning from the University of Leeds in January 2002 and has BSc and MSc degrees in computer science. She is a senior lecturer in computer science at the University of Sheffield. She conducts research in the areas of virtual reality and serious games. In particular, her research interests include the creation of 3D graphics agent-based simulations. She is the Virtual Reality theme leader within the Kroto Research Institute for Multidisciplinary Engineering Research. She has published more than 60 articles in various areas related to the creation of believable 3D virtual environments, artificial intelligence, and serious games.
