Biography
Mohamed Mamdouh Abdel Aziz (M'80–SM'05) received the B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical power and machines from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 1970, 1972, and 1975, respectively.
He was an Instructor from 1970 to 1972 and a Teaching Assistant from 1972 to 1975 with the Department of Electrical Power and Machines, Cairo University, where he is currently a Professor. On the technical side, he has authored or coauthored many refereed journal and conference papers. His areas of research include cables, contact resistance, harmonics, power quality, photovoltaic systems, and wind-energy systems.
