Biography
Maysamreza Chamanzar is the William D. and Nancy W. Strecker Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is running an interdisciplinary research program at the interface of photonics and neural engineering to design next generation multimodal neural interfaces. Maysam is the recipient of the NSF CAREER Development Award, Spira Excellence in Teaching Award, HKN Teaching Award and the Dr. William D. and Nancy W. Strecker Chair Professorship. He was also the recipient of the Sigma-Xi Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in 2013 and the IEEE BRAIN Best Paper Award in 2019.
