Biography
Shay Bahramirad (SM’14) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA, in 2010. She is currently the Vice President of Engineering and Smart Grid with ComEd, Chicago, IL, USA. She holds executive responsibility for the company's vision of the grid of the future, system reliability, engineering, and planning, as well as the development of frameworks for smart grid roadmaps and investment strategies. She is also the Vice President of new initiatives and outreach at IEEE PES, where she oversees the organization's engagement with utilities and policy makers across the globe, and develops the next generation of standards and frameworks, including smart cities.
