Biography

Ulf Jakob F. Aarsnes received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering cybernetics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. His Ph.D. thesis was entitled Modeling of Two-Phase Flow for Estimation and Control of Drilling Operations.
He currently holds a Post-Doctoral position with the International Research Institute of Stavanger, Stavanger, Norway. His current research interests include modeling, analysis, and control of distributed parameter systems and their application to drilling. He has authored or co-authored over 15 technical papers in this field.
